After a successful launch last year, the project "land culture" - as a joint project of the city of Überlingen, of the Lake Constance-Linzgau Tourism Association, of the project "PLENUM" and the Lake Constance District with the generous support of the Volksbank eG Überlingen - will be continued in 2008.
The aim of the project is to link nature conservation, agriculture, food production and tourism in the region of Lake Constance Linzgau by bringing citizens and guests on excursions and guided tours closer to the unique landscape with its people and the quality of the food produced here.
From late May through October a total of 27 events take place with 19 partners in the entire region of western Lake Constance.
For example, tours with explanations of the production process on farms are included as well as tours of the water supply in Sipplingen or inspections of the nature project “Sielmann pond” in Owingen-Billafingen.
A special attraction for the whole family are sure the Linzgau round trips with the “Apfelzügle Express (Apple Express Train)” in June, July and September.
The entire project with the idea of the founders and partners, the programme and the registration fee for participants is described in a handy brochure, which is available in the town halls and tourist informations in the region.
