Stars - Categories and Classification
The hotels and guesthouses marked with an asterisk (*) have undergone voluntary classification from the Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Tourismus in Baden-Württemberg (GFT, the association for the promotion of tourism in Baden-Württemberg) in cooperation with the German Hotel Association (DEHOGA).
Accommodation marked with an F* has been classified in the "Holiday Homes/Flats" category, while accommodation marked with P* has been classified in the "Private Rooms" category.
Accommodation with no categorisation did not participate in the scheme and no assessment as to the standard of this accommodation has been made.

The "S" suffix stands for "Superior" and is worth about half a star.
